When you tour with Paved Paradise, you are riding with an owner of the company; someone who will make sure you walk away with great memories and stories to share. We love what we do and you’ll love coming along for the ride.

We have 2 locations so please check your itinerary for the correct address. All tours return to their original starting point. The New Orleans Tour and the Garden District Cemetery Tour begin and end at 1735 Washington Ave. Beyond the French Quarter and the French Quarter Cemetery Tour begin and end at 3027 Chartres St.

We don’t let a little rain spoil our fun! Showers are frequent in this sub-tropical climate (and sometimes most welcome). Our tours go out rain or shine. Ponchos are provided. If the weather is extreme or unsafe, we will reschedule or cancel the tour. We generally make that determination about an hour before tour departure.

Our 3.5 hour tours are roughly 9 miles. Our 2.5 hour tours are around 5 miles. Tour lengths and distances can vary according to guests’ abilities or other unforeseen occurrences.

New Orleans is flat so it is a great city to explore by bike. Our roads are quite bumpy but we have comfy cruiser seats to help mitigate that. The pace is leisurely and there are frequent stops to enjoy the sites. Our summers are very hot and humid; be prepared to be in the sun, heat, and possible rain showers. We offer different length tours to suit most abilities.

Choose comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather. Close-toed shoes are recommended. Avoid loose flowing garments that can get caught in wheels or bike chains.

We provide a bottle of water but suggest bringing an extra with you, especially in the summer. Not all tours stop for a break; feel free to bring a snack if you so desire. Bring sunscreen and/or bug spray if you usually require frequent applications during normal outdoor activities.

Yes! Our tours are all family friendly. We take safety very seriously. Please keep in mind that we are riding on city streets with traffic and other hazards. Children should be confident on a bike and be able to follow direction.

We have a limited number of children’s bikes. Please indicate the height and age of anyone under 5ft so we can reserve the appropriate sized bike. We do not have bike trailers for toddlers or infants. All guests need to be able to ride a bike on their own.

If your plans change 48 hours before tour time you can cancel for a full refund. With 24 hour notice we are happy to reschedule your tour to another day or time, pending availability. After 24 hours we do not refund for cancellations or changes. If your plans are uncertain, please wait to make a reservation. We are a small business and every tour counts.

Yes! We offer rental bikes at our Uptown location, 1735 Washington Ave.

We generally book up to 10 riders per tour, allowing us to keep it personal and safe. We can take out smaller or larger groups on private tours. Give us a call to discuss what works best for you!

Yes! If you are 18+ helmets are not required in the city of New Orleans but we will provide you with one and encourage you to use it.
